How does the eraser company make any money?
I bought a pack of 3 pink pearl erasers 3 years ago and I haven’t even used up one-forth of one yet. I have dysgraphia and I “miswrite” every other word it seems like and I have been erasing half-page long calculus problems for the 3 years and still I haven’t even used up one-forth of one yet. I think I am set for life with these 3 erasers. How does papermate profit from erasers.
The manufacturer makes its profit when it sells to the distributor or the retail chain.
Retailers have to keep erasers in stock as customers expect them, but they do not need to stock a large inventory and erasers are not expensive. Erasers are not a large item in Papermate’s business. Probably as many erasers are mislaid by consumers as are used up.
